Cookie Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026.

This page explains what this website stores on your device, why, and how to change your mind.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by Aurora Advisory SRL, trading as brookpoint, registered in Belgium under company number 0770.413.095, with its registered office at Rue de la Croix 4, 1050 Ixelles, Belgium. For anything on this page, write to privacy@brookpoint.eu. A person reads that inbox.

Your choice, and how to change it

When you first arrive, a banner asks whether we may measure how the site is used. You can accept, or decline and keep only what is strictly necessary. Ignoring the banner has the same effect as declining.

Until you answer yes, no analytics script is loaded, no analytics cookie is written, and nothing about your visit leaves your browser.

Your answer is stored on your own device. Clearing your browsing data for this site removes it, the banner returns, and you can answer differently. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, under Privacy. Blocking everything will not break this site: nothing here needs a cookie to work.

What a cookie is, and what this site actually uses

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep and send back on each visit. Local storage and session storage stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. Most of what this site uses is the second kind.

The categories below are the standard four. We only use two of them.

Strictly necessary

These make the site and the tools you asked for work. They are set without consent, because without them the thing you clicked on does not function.

NameKindPurposeLifetime
bp-consentLocal storageRemembers your answer to the banner, so we do not ask twiceUntil you clear your browser data
brookstone.expressSession storageKeeps your answers while you go through the Express audit, so a reload does not lose your workDeleted when you close the tab

Performance

These count visits and tell us which pages are read and which are abandoned. They are loaded only if you accept.

NameKindPurposeLifetime
_gaCookieDistinguishes one visitor from another so sessions can be counted2 years
_ga_6ZCTGGQFWQCookieKeeps the state of the measurement session2 years

Both are set by Google Analytics. We have asked Google to shorten IP addresses, we have turned off advertising and remarketing features, and measurement data is deleted automatically after fourteen months. Google describes its own processing at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Functionality

None. This site has no account, no saved searches and no social media integration, so there is nothing to remember about you between visits.

Targeting and advertising

None. We run no advertising, we operate no advertising network, and we share nothing with one. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the banner asks again.

What the measurement tells us, and what it does not

It tells us which pages are read, which are abandoned, and roughly where visitors come from. It does not tell us who you are, and we never combine it with the contact form or with the Express audit.

More

How we handle personal data in general is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this page

If we add or remove anything that stores data on your device, we update this page and the date at the top, and the banner asks again.
